Why 6th Street Bridge

6th Street Bridge, now known as the Roberto Clemente Bridge, is located in Pittsburgh, PA. Roberto Clemente was a Professional Major League Baseball Player with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Roberto Clemente lived off the motto, “If you have a chance to help others and fail to do so you’re wasting your time on this earth.” His determination to help other ultimately cost him his life when he tragically died in a plane crash on his way to provide relief efforts in Nicaragua. His determination to make a difference and fight racial injustice is what drives us to do better today and move forward everyday.
